Quilt Design and Planning
Learn how to design your own quilt by turning a sketch into an actual sewing plan. Come with sketches or design ideas, but we’ll have some simple block design to edit and develop into your own unique quilt design. This is a non-sewing class. Instead we'll talk about color schemes, scale & sizing block construction, and how to calculate fabric yardage.
Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: Intermediate - you know the basics and have made a quilt or small projects already.
- We provide: expertise, studio space, tools, and expertise.
- You bring: yourself and some suggestions for designing: a notebook or sketchbook, graph paper, construction paper, colored pencils/markers, a calculator, inspiration photos for color or art styles you like.
