Shortie Socks - 3 sessions
We searched high and low for a DK weight sock pattern that would work for a summer knit. Luckily tincanknits has the perfect basic sock pattern that comes in multiple sizes and variations so you can knit these again and again in various weights! These socks are knit top-down from cuff to toe. First the cuff/leg is worked in rounds. Next the heel flap and short row heel are worked in rows. Finally the gusset and foot are worked in the
round through to the decreases at the toe, which is grafted closed.
Limited to 5 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: Adventurous Beginner. You can cast on, knit, purl and bind off! You've taken knitting basics and circular knitting.
- We provide: moral support, expertise, measurement techniques, and great company
- You bring: Yourself, a copy of the pattern (available on Ravelry), your needles (circular 40” size 3 or size 3 DPN), stitch markers, and approximately 200 yards of DK yarn for size S Adult short socks. We offer 15% off supplies purchased for any of our classes.
- Class length: 2 1/2 hours each session (You will need to knit between sessions if you want assistance with the "tricky" parts. We recommending starting the cuff prior to class.)
