Betty Apron - 2 sessions

A slip over the head apron with a crossover back, sometimes called Japanese-style aprons, these fit over your clothes like a smock dress and are popular with many chefs and cooking hobbyists alike. Why make an apron? An apron adds a layer of protection between your outfit and whatever potentially mess activity you may be tackling! For us that could be screenprinting samplers or setting up a natural dyeing workshop. And at home it's perfect for kitchen and garden adventures. In our humble opinion, cross-back aprons are cuter, comfier, and more convenient than their strappy bib apron alternatives. Especially when made of cotton/linen blends that only soften with wear.

We suggest that you print and tape your pattern together in advance or have it printed in the store on large format paper.

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

  • Level:  Adventurous beginner. This is not your first sewing project.
  • We provide: studio space, tools, machines, and expertise.
  • You bring:  A copy of your Betty pattern , fabric you love (yardage per the pattern), and if you are particular about topstitching, please purchase thread to match.
    • Don't forget that we offer 15% off all materials for any of our workshops.
  • Class length:  2.5 hours each session for a total of 5 hours

Sessions run Sunday, January 18 and 25 at 12 pm
