Bias Binding Coasters

Straight edges? Not around here! This is a great class for those quilters and early sewists that want to learn about making and using bias binding. We will create small whole cloth quilts (coasters!) but the razzle dazzle comes in when we cut and bind the circle with bias binding. Curve curious? Hoping to segway into garment making? This class is for you.

Limited to 4 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

• Level: Adventurous Beginner.  You've taken sewing basics and quilting basics. You are ready to make your own bias tape and bend it to your will! 
  
• We provide:  tools, fusible fleece, machines, and expertise
• You bring: A copy of Carolyn Friedlander's pattern template (available online here), for matching coasters - a fat quarter for top and bottom, ½ yard mid-weight woven cotton for bias binding - for mix and match coasters you may use 4 different "scraps" minimum 6" squares - you will need 8 squares for 4 coasters. Don't forget that we offer 15% off all supplies for any of our workshops.
